Bulletin Board is a shared data demo. All clients of the same BBoardProvFtry
see the same bulletin board.
The demo was created by following the procedures in the
Using Templates page. It's main purpose is to
demonstrate the use of templates.
This release has version 0.1 of BBoard. It's functional, but lacks some important features we'll add in the next release. In order to see the changes you (or another client) have made, you have to reload the web page.
We'll add change notifications in the regular EventWeb 0.6.4 release.
There is no legacy version of this demo.
Text you enter in the post box is parsed as html when it is displayed. It works fine when you post plain text, or you can post html fragments.
If you post multiple lines using the enter key, (not wordwrap), the client javascript replaces the newline character with an html <br> tag, so you'll get a new line in the post. If you post multiple lines of html and end a line with <p> or <br> and then use the enter key to start a new line, another <br> tag is added to the line, so you get an extra blank line.
